Welcome to Nsicc Islamic Center for Muslims

In Halifax, particularly in the Bedford and Clayton Park areas, the Muslim population has experienced rapid growth over the last decade, with projections indicating an even faster increase in the coming years. The Muslim community in these regions has consistently been dedicated to performing their religious duties and creating a supportive environment for all members.

To address this need, in January 1990, a Muslim brother purchased a 22-acre piece of land situated between Hammonds Plains and Larry Uteck Blvd. This land acquisition was a significant milestone for the community, providing a space to establish essential facilities. Additionally, 8 acres of this land were generously donated to serve as a Muslim cemetery, ensuring that the community’s needs are met both in life and beyond. Our commitment to supporting the Muslim community in Halifax continues to guide our efforts as we strive to build a vibrant, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all.
